06/13/2003 Entry: "Blah de blah"

I have been a humonguous lump of blah recently. Bogged down in the current fic, and no new inspiration anywhere in sight. *Blah.*

On the plus side, last weekend I finished cleaning out all my closets. And Dad made me a new bookshelf, so maybe I can get some stuff off the old ones before they collapse.

And I might actually be finding a D&D game to play in. Yay!

Anyway, this is all very dull, I'm sure, so if you're looking for something to engage you, how about giving my buddy Shanti a hand? She's working on a fic for the CFFML's "Ordinary Day" fic challenge, and she has some questions. (Check out the full entry page for info.)

Hopefully once my PMS lets up I'll be slightly more interesting again. ^_^

Here's Shanti's question:

I'm working on a fic *gasp!!!* and it requires more knowledge of Asuka
(meaning the manga phonebook) than I currently have, my knowledge being
pretty much limited to reading the installments of X and occasionally
flipping through the rest. So, does anyone here know:

* What if anything are the requirements for a series getting into Asuka?

*How does Asuka decide what they run? Do they hunt out doujinshi artists,
or do they accept submissions?

*If the latter, what sort of submissions would be considered wildly
inappropriate?

*How much actual editing (ie, checking and correcting of text, layout,
etc.) would an editor do? Or would it be more like coordinating everything
and making sure deadlines are met?

And finally, a question that may seem off-topic, but actually isn't:

*Where is the Sohma house (from "Fruits Basket") located?
